January digital banking tip

Travel notices no longer required

Starting February 11, 2025, Alpine Bank will no longer require travel notices be placed on debit or credit cards. Fraud detection technology has advanced and now has the capability to recognize your travel, based on spending activity, and will adjust fraud blocks accordingly. If there is a transaction in question, you will be notified with a text message, phone call and/or email. This will be sent to the contact information we have on file for you.

If the transaction is your purchase, you simply respond appropriately to prevent your card from being placed on a hold. With this change, the travel notice placement feature within online and mobile banking will no longer be listed.

As always, ensure you are monitoring your accounts and statements for unusual activity and report unusual or suspicious activity immediately.

Questions? Please call our customer service and internet banking support team at 800-551-6098. Representatives are available to take your call Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. MT and on Saturday from 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. MT.
