Community Support

Shop small & make a mighty difference

This holiday season, Alpine Bank is celebrating its Small and Mighty business customers once again, with several of them featured in our social media and on our website.

As you plan for gift-giving and start to shop for friends and loved ones, we encourage you to do business with local retailers, restaurants and service businesses.

Patronage of your local businesses results in economic health, a stronger community and increased resiliency. And by buying locally you even help cut carbon emissions and air pollution, because fewer resources are required for the transport of the items you purchase.

According to the Small Business Administration, when you spend $100 at a small business, $48 stays in the community to be spent elsewhere. Spend the same $100 at a big-box store or national retailer and only $14 stays.

Also, nearly 50% of workers in the state are employed by a small business, according to the Small Business Administration. So, when you buy from independent businesses you’re supporting neighbors and friends.

Alpine Bank is a proud supporter of small businesses in Colorado, we hope you’ll join us this holiday season and shop locally.
