Beth Powling

Client Support Associate III with Alpine Bank Wealth Management

Meet Beth Powling, Client Support Associate III with Alpine Bank Wealth Management. She was born and raised in Orange, Mass., but enticed by the allure of ski country when she moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2011. Beth started with Alpine Bank Aspen as a teller in 2018, was quickly promoted to the role of personal banker at the Snowmass branch in 2019, then joined the wealth management division in 2021.

Beth earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She’ll graduate with a bookkeeping certificate from Colorado Mountain College this spring.

Beth volunteers for Lift-Up, a nonprofit with food pantries, thrift stores, soup kitchens and a student lunch program. “They provide humanitarian essentials while creating a bridge to personal empowerment and self-reliance,” says Beth. “I highly recommend Lift-Up for charitable giving or volunteering.”

After college, Beth started working toward her accelerated freefall license — skydiving. She has seven solo jumps and three tandem jumps under her belt. “I’m glad I had the opportunity, but I don’t think I’ll be jumping out of a plane again anytime soon!”

Now in her off-time Beth enjoys the arguably tamer experiences of camping, hunting for antler sheds, paddleboarding, hiking and snowboarding with her husband. She practices mindfulness daily with a lunchtime walk and morning readings on gratitude.
