Alpine Bank is 50

Together, we’re golden: Celebrating five decades of independent banking in Colorado in 2023

On January 23, 1973, Alpine Bank chairman and founder Bob Young cut the ribbon for his new bank in Carbondale, Colorado. He identified Independence, Community, Compassion, Integrity and Loyalty as the bank’s foundational core values. Adherence to these guiding principles was fundamental to Alpine Bank’s success on that first day in business fifty years ago, and today.

In 2023, Alpine Bank is proud to now have dozens of branches throughout the state, from the Western Slope to the mountains to the Front Range. The bank employs 890 people, serves 170,000 customers and contributes to hundreds of nonprofits and community organizations with financial support and volunteer leadership.

This year, to celebrate its golden anniversary, Alpine Bank seeks to give $2.5 million to Colorado causes through its innovative Loyalty Debit Card program. Learn more and join the celebration at alpinebank.com/50-years-young.
