SBA offers new resource hub

The United States Small Business Administration (SBA) recently announced its new Investing in America Small Business Hub. The online portal provides industry-specific resources to help small businesses access grants, contracts, and other market opportunities.

Businesses can also find SBA resources for investment capital in order to scale, as well as needed certifications to qualify for Investing in America funding.

“The SBA’s new Investing in America Small Business Hub will help more small businesses connect to the resources, funding opportunities, and support they need to capitalize on these opportunities and strengthen their businesses,” said SBA Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzman.

According to the SBA, new Census data shows “a historic rate of entrepreneurship,” which it will continue to grow via the new Investing in America Small Business Hub.

The Hub points to opportunities in home repair and construction, government contracting and subcontracting, and manufacturing. Businesses can explore rebates and tax credits as well as grant funding for small manufacturing businesses. Additional opportunities will be added in the future.

The SBA says it will collaborate with other federal agencies to host local events and webinars so they can connect directly with small businesses and provide assistance on accessing contracting opportunities and incentives like home energy rebates and tax credits.

Small business owners can also share their own Investing in America-related stories on the Hub. The SBA wants to hear from small businesses who have received a grant, won a government contract, or used rebates or subsidies to save customers money.

While the new Hub does provide a number of helpful resources, the SBA encouraged businesses to utilize its full suite of online resources, which can be found here.
