Noel Hansen Selected to American Bankers Association Emerging Leaders Council.

Noel Hansen, senior vice president of Alpine Bank Dillon, Colorado, has been selected to the Emerging Leaders Council with the American Bankers Association (ABA).

The Emerging Leaders Council is comprised of private sector bank leaders from 50 states — representing banks of all sizes and specialties, in addition to three state banking association program managers.

The council is focused on attracting, connecting, and developing the current and next generation of bankers to lead the industry, guiding ABA in the creation of new opportunities in leadership development, networking, innovation and advocacy. Another key aspect of their work is strengthening and better integrating ABA’s efforts with the leadership programming developed by state banking associations. The vision of the Emerging Leaders Council to ensure strong, diverse, dynamic, strategic and talented future leadership of ABA and the banking industry.

The ABA acknowledges that the council is an active group of bankers, juggling full-time jobs, families and other commitments. Council members serve a one-year term that’s eligible for renewal for up to three years, based on the individual’s interest and engagement level.

“It is my honor to have nominated Noel for this prestigious role,” said Jennifer Waller, president and CEO of the Colorado Bankers Association. “She is a champion of the banking industry and has a passion for her work and mentoring others.”

Noel, an employee-owner of Alpine Bank for 21 years, is a Midwest kid at heart who fell in love with the mountains of Colorado the first time she visited. Finding Alpine Bank was a match for her personally, as she valued the culture of community giving and the philanthropic spirit in which business is approached.

As senior vice president and commercial banker for Alpine Bank in Summit County, Noel assists customers with implementing technology into their daily routine to streamline operations of collecting, distributing and managing cash flow. Noel has held many positions during her career at Alpine Bank — most notable are her roles as regional marketing director and branch manager of the Frisco location.

Since moving to Summit County Noel has volunteered and consulted with numerous local nonprofits. She currently serves as board president for St. Anthony Summit Hospital Foundation and is a past board and committee member of the Catholic Health Initiatives Colorado (member), Summit Prevention Alliance (VP), Economic Development Committee for the Town of Dillon (member), High Country Conservation Center (treasurer) and Advocates for Victims of Assault (treasurer).

Noel is an alumni of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado in Boulder, and the American Bankers Association School of Bank Marketing and Management at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and public relations from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.
