Meet Fernando Masferrer

Alpine Bank Wealth Management Officer Trainee

Fernando Masferrer, Alpine Bank Wealth Management* Officer Trainee, joined the team in 2023. He works with clients from Garfield and Pitkin counties.

Masferrer’s first day at the bank was January 23, 2023, which is the day Alpine Bank first opened its doors 50 years ago.

“It’s an easy date to remember, however, I can’t use it in any of my passwords,” Masferrer joked. “0123 is frowned upon by security.”

Born in the Philippines but raised in Colorado, Masferrer brings a decade of customer service experience and operational efficiency to Alpine Bank. He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV).

To infuse some fun in his day, Masferrer said he likes to remain flexible and positive. He added that humor can often make someone’s day better.

Outside of work, the New Castle resident loves adventure sports from skydiving to scuba diving and everything in between. Camping, caving, hiking, and river rafting, he loves it all.

He is also a big supporter of the Catholic Church, donating both his time and financially. He has helped take clothes and toys to underdeveloped countries and always donates food to locations where he vacations.

“Giving back to the church is a part of my family’s culture,” Masferrer explained.

Some fun facts about Masferrer, he’s a skilled rock, paper, scissor player and loves anything to do with cats. He also used to participate in Renaissance fairs.

“I even won a few archery competitions,” he said.
