Meet Daniel Vogel

Alpine Bank Wealth Management Vice President – Tax and Financial Manager

Daniel Vogel, Alpine Bank Wealth Management Vice President – Tax and Financial Manager, joined the team in 2014 after a 30-year career in public accounting.

Outside Alpine Bank, Vogel serves as treasurer for the Western Slope Center for Children. The child advocacy center, located in Grand Junction, works with youth who have been physically and sexually abused. Vogel has served on the board for 15 years.

“The work of the center is so vital to this community and the kids that come through the doors,” Vogel said. “That is what has made it easy to say yes each time they ask me to stay.”

For fun, Vogel likes to spend time with family, friends, his dachshund (Olive) and cat (Nina).

“I come from a large family, most of whom still live in the valley,” he said. “Holidays and birthdays are always fun.”

Vogel was born in Denver to two Denver natives and raised in Grand Junction, but the roots of his family tree are so much deeper.

“I have lived here in the Grand Valley for almost 60 years,” he explained. “My grandfather on my mom’s side of the family was born in Cripple Creek in 1900, so my Colorado roots go back almost 125 years.”

Fun fact, Vogel is also an avid cribbage player. He traveled to Reno in late June for the JPW ACC Open Tournament, which is the largest cribbage tournament in the world.
