The foundation is raising funds and awareness in June, with its Hope is Essential online auction
Research shows that a wish granted can give kids the strength to fight against, and even overcome, a critical illness. When a wish comes true it creates strength, hope and transformation in a child and in the community. A wish renews hope, uplifts spirits and encourages the belief in the impossible. In a time of continued uncertainty, one fact remains true ─ hope is essential.
Consider these:
I wish to be a firefighter.
I wish to drive a submarine.
I wish to be a pirate on a pirate ship.
I wish to have a dragon.
I wish to meet a unicorn.
They represent just a handful of the wishes granted to children through the Make-A-Wish® organization.
The Hope Is Essential online auction, presented by Alpine Bank, will help to bring hope to these children in the form of a wish. Starting on June 15, we invite the public to check out hundreds of amazing auction items, including unique vacations, in-home wine and dine experiences, fly-fishing trips, spa services, collectibles and so much more at the online auction.
Bidding begins at noon on Tuesday, June 22 and continues to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 26. All proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish Colorado and help bring joy and transformation to wish kids and their families across the state.
By joining Alpine Bank and supporting the Hope Is Essential auction, you will help ensure the 400+ Colorado children who are waiting for their wish don’t have to wait a day more than necessary to receive it. Daily, Colorado wish kids are receiving local wishes such as adaptive bikes, car restorations, room makeovers, shopping sprees and more. Soon, we’ll be able to safely grant the travel wishes that have been postponed because of COVID-19.
