Protecting what makes Colorado home
At Alpine Bank, caring for our communities has always included caring for the places we call home. The release of our 2026 Environment Report reflects that long-standing commitment and showcases the many ways employee-owners, community partners and customers are helping protect Colorado’s natural resources.
Environmental stewardship has been part of Alpine Bank’s culture for decades, a value championed by our late founder, Bob Young. Today, that legacy continues through initiatives that reduce the bank’s environmental footprint, support watershed conservation and encourage employee volunteerism across Colorado.
This year’s report highlights partnerships with organizations working to protect some of the state’s most important waterways, including the Colorado and Yampa rivers. Through support of groups such as the Middle Colorado Watershed Council and Friends of the Yampa, Alpine Bank helps advance projects focused on watershed health, restoration efforts, wildfire mitigation and community education.
The report also demonstrates the progress Alpine Bank has made in managing its own environmental impact. Since establishing sustainability benchmarks, the bank has significantly reduced electricity and water consumption while continuing to grow its branch network, customer base and workforce. Ongoing efficiency improvements, renewable energy investments and conservation-focused operations remain important priorities.
Community involvement continues to be a key part of these efforts. In 2025 alone, Alpine Bank employees contributed hundreds of volunteer hours to sustainability-related causes throughout Colorado. Through programs such as the Environment Loyalty Debit Card, customers also help support local environmental projects every time they use their card.
As Colorado communities continue to face challenges related to water resources, wildfire risk and environmental sustainability, Alpine Bank remains committed to being part of the solution by investing in partnerships, responsible business practices and programs that support a healthier future for the state we all share.
