Citizens partner with law enforcement to keep Mesa County safe
Brittaney LeTurgez, the lead digital product manager for Alpine Bank Electronic Banking, is a five-year volunteer with Crime Stoppers of Mesa County. Her leadership is evident throughout the organization, as its current board chairperson and as head of the events committee and tech and social media committee.
“I absolutely love the valley I live in and community I am surrounded by,” says Brittaney. “And I’m honored to be a part of an incredible group of people who are dedicated to keeping this community safe.”
Crime Stoppers of Mesa County is an award-winning, independent nonprofit organization that coordinates strong working relationships between all area law enforcement agencies, local media outlets and anonymous citizens. In short, their mission is to prevent, solve and deter crime in the community.
In college, Brittany majored in sociology. “I’ve always had an interest in true crime. When I was asked to join the board for Crime Stoppers, I said yes without hesitation,” she says. In 2023, Brittaney was elected to serve as chair of the board after having served as vice-chair and secretary for the previous two years. “I’m committed to growing our presence and awareness during my time in this leadership role.”
