Noel Hansen named to prestigious post with the American Bankers Association
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.— Alpine Bank Senior Vice President Noel Hansen has been selected as chair of the Emerging Leaders Council with the American Bankers Association (ABA).
The Emerging Leaders Council is focused on attracting, connecting, and developing the current and next generation of bankers to lead the industry. It is comprised of private sector bank leaders from 50 states — representing banks of all sizes and specialties, in addition to three state banking association program managers.
“What an honor it is to be named chair and to work alongside leaders from across the nation to ensure the future of the banking industry remains bright,” said Hansen, who joined the Emerging Leaders Council in 2022. “This is a dynamic group of individuals that are committed to their craft, willing to listen, eager to learn, and they have an explorer mindset.”
As a senior vice president at Alpine Bank, Hansen leads a team of treasury management professionals and commercial sales specialists that help businesses streamline operations of collecting, distributing, and managing cash flow. She has held many positions during her career at the bank—most notable are her roles as regional marketing director and branch manager of the Frisco location.
“Noel has been a leader at Alpine Bank for more than 20 years,” remarked Alpine Bank Chief Retail Officer Jay Rickstrew. “Her strategic initiatives and forward-thinking mindset have aided in upholding the bank’s longstanding values of Independence, Integrity, Community, Compassion and Loyalty.”
Outside of her role at the bank, Hansen has volunteered and consulted with numerous Colorado nonprofits, including the Summit Prevention Alliance, Town of Dillon Economic Development Committee, High Country Conservation Center, Bristlecone Foundation Legacy Committee, and Advocates for Victims of Assault. She currently serves as a member of the St. Anthony Summit Hospital Board of Trustees and is chair of the hospital’s foundation.
Hansen is a graduate of the American Bankers Association School of Bank Marketing and Management at Southern Methodist University as well as the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado in Boulder. She also received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Public Relations from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.
