“Spring Breck,” by David Gonzales

When David Gonzales was 17, his work was being exhibited in the Smithsonian, the U.S. Capitol Congressional Tunnel and the Governor’s Mansion in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His work has been shown in museum traveling exhibits both in the US and abroad. His early pieces are heavily influenced by his Native American and Hispanic upbringing, but his art has broadened over multiple styles and forms over his career. His diverse work is tied together by an interest in works depicting  the movement of objects within space and time, which isn’t a static representation of a single moment but rather a living, ever-moving entity. “Spring Breck” depicts the intersection of Main Street and Ski Hill Road in Breckenridge, Colorado.
