Help Our Community by Supporting Mile High United Way

Mile High United Way, the first United Way in the world, works side by side with the community and takes on critical human services issues facing a seven-county footprint, spanning the Metro Denver, Boulder and Broomfield communities. Mobilizing the power of a community united, Mile High United Way brings together the private, public and philanthropic sectors to change the odds for all children, families and individuals in our community, so that we all have the opportunity to succeed.

Now more than ever, our community needs support. Call volume to the Mile High United Way 211 Help Center has tripled due to the COVID pandemic. The Help Center connects individuals and families to critical resources, including housing needs, childcare referrals and more.

During this unprecedented year, our community is reaching out for support more than they ever have. Mile High United Way’s Technology Fund was created in response to the immediate technology needs of under-resourced communities. Alpine Bank is proud to be partnering with Mile High United Way to bring technology to all in our communities.

As families continue the school year, many in full online learning, we know the pandemic has fundamentally changed the way we access school, work and those we interact with. And, for the nearly 300,000 people in our community who were already struggling, this crisis has only deepened the digital divide.

As part of the United for Schools initiative, Mile High United Way community advocates have distributed computers and needed technology assistance to under-resourced communities, to ensure children have access to all the tools to be successful, even in the face of the pandemic.

As we continue to work together as a community, we know it will take all of us to come together to create short- and long-term change. There are many ways to get involved this season; whether you can donate funds or volunteer your time, your support is needed. Join all of us at Alpine Bank by supporting Mile High United Way and help us provide these critical resources to our community when they need it most.

You can learn more about how to get involved or participate in the 47th annual virtual Mile High United Way Turkey Trot, one of Denver’s greatest Thanksgiving traditions. Proceeds from the Turkey Trot support Mile High United Way’s critical work in the community, including programs like the Mile High United Way 211 Help Center or the United for Schools initiative.
