Help Make-A-Wish Colorado Create Life-Changing Wishes

For more than 35 years, Make-A-Wish Colorado® has provided hope to Colorado children battling a critical illness. Since 1983, more than 5,700 children have received their one true wish. Each wish is unique, but every wish helps to replace fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope.

In order to protect the health of wish kids, travel wishes have been placed on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic. But many other heartwarming wishes have been fulfilled this year, and each has been life-changing. Seventeen-year-old Peyton now has a horse to call her own, 13-year-old Thomas can now happily accompany his family on outdoor outings in his action-track chair, and four-year-old Piper can snuggle Ruby her red-coated Goldendoodle puppy whenever she feels overwhelmed by medical treatments. Other children have received their wishes for a camper, weekends at a dude ranch, room make-overs, treehouses and more. Make-A-Wish Colorado is looking ahead to the time when travel wishes and celebrity visits are again possible. Already, there are more wish kids than ever before waiting for their wishes to be granted, and the number continues to grow. Businesses like Alpine Bank play a critical role in helping to fund wishes, and community members can help too. Visit wish.org/Colorado to learn about the many ways you can help bring joy to a wish kid. Whether it’s volunteering, participating in an event, contributing items and services needed to fulfill a wish or donating money or airline miles, every bit helps. Together, we can create joy and hope for the many children across Colorado who are battling critical illnesses.
