Giving Back to our Boulder Community

We are proud to call Boulder our home, and are thankful to be able to give back to this amazing community. Alpine Bank strives to support community events, the arts, the environment, animal shelters, outdoor recreation, as well as children and education.

In a recent ranking of philanthropy by companies compiled by the Denver Business Journal, Alpine Bank ranked first for cash contributions to charities among Colorado-based businesses and ranked third among all companies (including larger out of state and national corporations).

Chairman Bob Young said he originally adopted his policies of giving back to the community because he thought it would be good for the bottom line. He has since realized, “It isn’t just good for the bottom line, it is the bottom line.”

Volunteerism

You may cross paths with one of us from Alpine Bank Boulder as we volunteer to help a wide array of local nonprofit organizations. Alpine employees share their time and talents to meet diverse needs in the Boulder community – Growing Gardens, SPAN, The Boulder Symphony, Naturally Boulder, There with Care and I Have a Dream Foundation– to name a few.  Alpine actively encourages volunteering, providing each bank employee 24 hours of paid volunteer time each year.

And volunteer we do! The Boulder team has volunteered almost 800 hours with local organizations and participated in over 200 activities in support of our community.
